Welcome to the Barony of Seleone
The ancient Barony of Seleone guards the Gulf Coast of the Kingdom of Gleann Abhann, and the Eastern mouth of the Great River. The people of Seleone are known for their good humor, hospitality, hard work, and determination. They are recognized for their honor and courtesy in a Kingdom where Honor and Courtesy are valued above all.
The Barony of Seleone is led by Baron Æduin Hacke (Eddie the Hack) and Baroness Deborah of Haleshaven, who represent the King and Queen of Gleann Abhann. They act as their eyes and ears, and receive their authority as an extension of Their Sovereign Rule.

Welcome to the Current Middle Ages
The Barony of Seleone is a chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. We are bringing together people on the Mississippi Gulf Coast who are interested in researching and re-creating the arts and skills of the medieval era. Our "Known World" consists of 19 kingdoms including
Gleann Abhann, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around
the world. Members, dressed in clothing of the Middle Ages and
Renaissance, attend events which may feature tournaments, arts
exhibits, classes, workshops, dancing, feasts, and more. Our "royalty"
hold courts at which they recognize and honor members for their
contributions to the group.
Get Medieval!
If you are interested in the Middle ages, we encourage you to come to a class or meeting that interests you. Check our 'A Sealion's Tale' page for current gatherings. We offer much in the way of the Arts and Sciences such as brewing and vinting, song and dance, metalworking, calligraphy and medieval cookery that enhance our medieval culture. The activities for martial arts such as honorable combat, fighter practices, and armor-making, keep the borders of our lands secure.
SCA events can range from a few people getting together on weeknights to thousands of people gathered together for a week to wage a multi-kingdom war. Membership in the SCA is not required to attend an event, although for some events you must attempt to wear some version of a medieval costume.
Below is our official Baronial Facebook page. Please feel free to submit yourself for admission and contact us with any questions you may have.

Get Involved!
Our Barony is supported by many fine volunteers. Everything that goes into creating an SCA event happens because of volunteers. Our baronial officers lend their time and talents to created a structure within which the SCA can operate. Contact information for our Officers and any officer-related web information can be reached through the Officers page.
Demonstrations
In an effort to promote interest in the Middle Ages, the Barony of Seleone can hold a demonstration of medieval life for your organization, school, or event. This event can include dance, cooking, arts and crafts, lectures, and the excitement of armored combat, presented in costume from the viewpoint of medieval personas. Please contact the Seneshal on the Officers page to arrange a demonstration.
